Cadillac Elite Road Series ERT-T Touring Flatbar Road Bike
Combining the best of road, mountain, and hybrid bicycle technology, the nine-speed Cadillac ERT-T is the ultimate commuter road bike. The bike’s foundation is a lightweight U6 triple-butted aluminum frame and a Kinesis carbon fiber fork, which combine to deliver a smooth, responsive ride with reduced road vibration. The frame’s geometry and generous wheel sizes, meanwhile, allow riders to cruise long distances and at a wide variety of speeds while seated in an upright position, making commutes more comfortable than ever. And thanks to the slightly wider tire profile, riders will enjoy better traction on slippery roads and wet surfaces. Other specs include easily-adjustable Kalloy double-butted aluminum handlebars with an NVO cold-forged adjustable alloy stem, an FSA Gossamer alloy crankset, and a Cadillac Velo C31 rail saddle.
Most significantly, the shifting and braking components are Shimano from top to bottom. The Rapid Fire STI shift levers, front derailleur, and brake levers are equipped with Shimano’s Flat-Bar Road Bike technology, which is specifically designed to provide the feel of a mountain bike cockpit on a sleek, fast road bike chassis. The components combine to offer quick and precise shifting and durability that will last through the most challenging rides. The ERT-T rolls along on a set of Alex Citi 1.0 wheels with sealed bearing rubs, lightweight alloy rims, and high-quality Hutchinson tires. Finally, the ERT-T stops on a dime thanks to Shimano’s powerful V-Brake system.
The bike offers the following wheel sizes: 49 cm (for riders between 5′ 1″ and 5′ 6″), 52 cm (for riders between 5′ 5″ and 5′ 9″), 54 cm (for riders between 5′ 7″ and 5′ 11″), 57 cm (for riders between 5′ 9″ and 6′ 1″), and 60 cm (for riders between 5′ 11″ and 6′ 4″). The ERT-T carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and a one-year warranty on parts.
